PSF, Sulu PPO Conduct Drug Awareness, Special Laws Symposium for NDJC-SHS Students, Faculty

The Sulu Provincial Police Office’s Traffic Management Task Group Unit (TMTG), in coordination with the Office of the Prefect of Student Formation (PSF) of Notre Dame of Jolo College — Senior High School (NDJC-SHS) held a symposium on drug awareness and special for senior high school community on January 28, 2026, at NDJC-SHS Main Campus Covered Court.

The event was aimed to raise awareness about drug use, laws, and other relevant topics among students.

With the slogan “Say No To Drugs,” the symposium brought together Grade 11 and Grade 12 students, as well as faculty members. The event was divided into morning and afternoon sessions to accommodate all students.

The symposium started with the usual preliminaries, followed by the opening message and the introduction of the speaker from the Head PSF, Mr. Alal Jamire, followed by a brief overview of the event by PMAJ Anelyn O. Coraza, Chief of TMTG.

The resource speakers included Patrol Officer Nurwin Y. Tiblani, who discussed the dangers of drug use and the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 or RA 9165; Patrol Woman Alyasa A. Aggil, who spoke about the Anti-Bullying Act of 2013 or RA 10627; and PMAJ Coraza, who discussed the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004 or RA 9262.

The students participated in an open forum, asking questions and seeking clarification on the topics discussed.

In the closing remarks of SHS Assistant Principal Paul S. Banagudos, he encouraged the students to apply the lessons learned and be mindful of their responsibilities as individuals.

The event concluded with the awarding of tokens of gratitude and certificates to the resource speakers, recognizing their valuable contributions to the symposium.
