NDJC Unveils New MSG Pavilion in Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

Notre Dame of Jolo College officially inaugurated its new Mahardika Student Government (MSG) Pavilion in a ceremonial ribbon-cutting held on June 30, 2026. The new facility marks a brand-new space dedicated to student development and campus activities, built entirely as a flagship initiative of the MSG.

The morning ceremony commenced with an interfaith invocation reflecting the diverse campus community. The Muslim prayer was led by MSG Representative Muhammad Asraf Esmael, followed by a Catholic prayer from fellow representative Pea Rose C. Baybado.

Mr. Nurhakeem K. Uddin Jr., the MSG President for Batch 2025-2026, delivered the welcome address to the attending students, faculty, and administration. In his speech, Uddin expressed deep pride in the project, noting that he didn’t just want to hand over a new structure, but wanted to establish a meaningful, lasting legacy. He emphasized that he wants this pavilion to stand as a testament to what the student government can achieve when putting the welfare, comfort, and vibrant campus life of the students first.

Following the welcome address, Dr. Raymond R. Delos Reyes, LPT, Vice President for Administration, took the stage to share an inspiring message regarding the facility’s future impact on the student body. MSG P.I.O. for Batch 2025-2026, Jacxen-Devo A. Tan, then formally introduced the MSG Pavilion to the public, outlining its purpose as a hub for student collaboration.

The event progressed to the official ribbon-cutting ceremony proper. The cutting was fronted by Dr. Mitchelle Angeli S. Tarsum, LPT (Vice President for Academic Affairs) and Dr. Raymond R. Delos Reyes (Vice President for Administration), alongside invited guests, and the MSG executive committee.

The new facility was subsequently blessed by religious leaders representing the community’s faiths. Al-Ustadz Abdurahman Abani led the Muslim blessing, while Br. Roman Gil A. Bastasa, OMI, facilitated the Catholic blessing.

Concluding the historic milestone, MSG Secretary 2025-26 Rania Sanhaji delivered a powerful set of words of wisdom, which double-served as the official closing remarks for the program. A final photo session with all attendees concluded the morning’s celebration.
