Freshmen students from the College of Pharmacy and Medical Technology (COPMED) gathered for the annual PharMedLakasan celebration, an event organized to warmly welcome new students to the department, held at the NDJC Covered Court today, June 26, 2026.
The event kicked off with Islamic and Catholic invocations, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, and proceeded to the acknowledgment of the faculty members present.
Ms. Fatima Ridzna Ammad, RPh, officially opened the program with her welcoming remarks. Thereafter, the panel of judges was formally introduced for the highly anticipated bench yelling competition, where students showcased their enthusiasm, creativity, and high spirits.
Subsequently, participants were grouped into seven teams to compete in a series of games that exhibited teamwork, sportsmanship, and camaraderie. Following a short break, an entertaining intermission number was performed by Sir Jesler Manansala, RMT, a faculty member from COPMED, to break the ice and delight the audience.
This was followed by Ms. Dayang Dayang Arwelyn Duran, RPh, who delivered her closing remarks. Certificates of appreciation were distributed to the individuals who contributed to making the program a success, which was immediately followed by the announcement of the winners.
The event concluded with joyful photo opportunities featuring the freshmen students, faculty, and officers who facilitated the program.
