MedTech Students Celebrate MedTech Day 2025

The Notre Dame of Jolo College’s Medical Technology program under the College of Pharmacy and Medical Technology (COPMED) celebrated MedTech Day on September 30, 2025, with the theme “The Green Healthcare Revolution: Filipino Medical Technologists for a Sustainable Future.”

The event began with a morning session at NDJC Smith Hall, featuring invocations, the singing of the National Anthem, Notre Dame Hymn, and PAMET Hymn. Mr. Ahmad Wa-thiq Y. Abdurajak, RMT, CRS, delivered opening remarks, emphasizing the importance of embracing challenges for success.

The program featured lectures by medical technology experts, including Mr. Jademar T. Adjad, RMT, on Venipuncture, Mr. Zhuan Sevhen R. Adjilani, RMT, on Capillary Puncture, and Mr. Khaleed A. Dugasan, RMT, on Blood Smearing.

Students participated in simulation workshops, practicing these skills under the guidance of trainers.

The afternoon session at the NDJC covered court included friendly competitions among four teams, such as the Calamansi Relay and Cone Game.

Students showcased their energetic intermission dance number, and instructors performed a special dance routine.

Mr. Jesler V. Manansala, RMT, delivered closing remarks, and certificates were awarded to participants in the Digital Poster Making Contest and Friendly Game Competitions.

The program concluded with a photo opportunity, capturing memorable moments with participants and instructors.
