For the first time, the College of Accountancy, Management, and Computer Education (CAMCE) of Notre Dame of Jolo College stepped into the field of cybersecurity, joining fellow higher education institutions across the Province of Sulu in a cybersecurity competition. The event was held on September 25, 2025, at the Alakdan Mess Hall, 11th Division Philippine Army – Sulu.
CAMCE proudly fielded two teams—Cyberpirate and Encrypted Minds—to represent the college. Demonstrating skill and determination, Cyberpirate secured an impressive fourth place, while Encrypted Minds earned a seventh-place finish among the participating groups.
Adding to the college’s achievement, Mr. Reinhardt Vincent Uy Composa, a member of the CAMCE delegation, was recognized as part of the Mythical Five of the competition, where he ranked second place overall. His individual performance highlighted the potential and growing expertise of NDJC students in the field of cybersecurity.
The participation marked a milestone for CAMCE as it ventured into a new academic arena, showcasing not only the technical knowledge of its students but also their readiness to compete and excel at the provincial level.
This achievement reflects the department’s commitment to equipping students with the skills and experiences necessary in today’s digital landscape, where cybersecurity plays a vital role in safeguarding information and systems.
