The Notre Dame of Jolo College – Senior High Department (NDJC-SHS) held its Nutrition Month celebration with the theme “Sa PPAN: Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat” at the NDJC-SHS Main Campus Covered Court on July 26, 2025.
The event was spearheaded by the Nutri-Health Club Officers and members along with their moderator and the Home Economics – Caregiving, and Bartending, and Food and Beverage Strands coordinator, Ms. Marife E. Sepnio.
The newly appointed Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Mitchell Angeli S. Tarsum led the opening remarks. Meanwhile, the College President Fr. Ross B. Kapunan, OMI, was also present showing his full support for the celebration.
The event held various competitions, including digital slogan making, essay writing, nutri-quiz bee, fruits and vegetables arrangement, cooking contest, and nutri-health zumba contest.
Aside from that, fun games were also held with its prizes for winning students.
The winners of the competitions featured in this event were announced in the afternoon, receiving certificates and medallions and trophies, respectively.
Prior to that, the Maimbung Campus of NDJC-SHS also joined in the observance of Nutrition Month on July 25, 2025, at NDJC-SHS Maimbung Campus.
Contests like poster making, fruit and vegetable arrangement, cooking contest, nutri-quiz show, jingle making and performing, nutri-health dance, and the search for Mister and Miss Nutrition 2025 were held, participated by the Maimbung campus students.
Furthermore, this highlighted their involvement in a feeding program among selected beneficiaries nearby Maimbung building.
The observance aimed to promote nutrition awareness and healthy living among the NDJC-SHS community.
