The Alfonso Yuchengco Foundation (AYF) celebrated outstanding Filipino students at the annual Awardees Gathering on June 20, 2025, held at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza, Makati City. With this year’s theme, “Turning Dreams to Reality,” the event recognized students from across the country who have demonstrated exceptional character, discipline, and leadership. Among them was a proud representative of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) and a true Notre Damean-Shaniz Aleya A. Lutian.
Out of all the awardees from BARMM, Lutian stood out as the sole awardee from the region, a testament to her remarkable dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence. She was accompanied by her proud mother, Mrs. Sandra A. Lutian, RN, and Mr. Alraizer H. Sabiran, LPT, the Senior High School STEM and Student Council Coordinator.
A former governor of the NDJC SHS Student Council, her leadership journey reflects the values of discipline and service that the AYF seeks to uplift. Her recognition is not just a personal achievement but a proud milestone for the entire NDJC community. It affirms that Notre Dameans are not only academically competent but are also deeply grounded in values that inspire nation-building.
This award highlights the role of educational institutions like NDJC in nurturing disciplined, value-driven young leaders who strive to turn dreams into meaningful realities, not just for themselves, but for their communities and the country.
