CLACJE Graces 8th Рin and Вadge Ceremony to ВFS, ВSCRIM Interns

The Batch SAMBISIG ’25 from the College of Liberal Arts and Criminal Justice Education Program of Notre Dame graced its 8th Pin and Badge Ceremony at NDJC covered court on 8th of October, 2024, to honor the interns from Bachelor in Forensic Science, and Bachelor of Science in Criminology, together with their parents and guardians through their badges.
 
The program began with a procession of the administrators, guests, faculty members, and SAMBISIG interns accompanied by their respected and proud parents and guardians. The event formally started with an invocation followed by the entrance of the SANTATAG colors, the invocation, and the singing of the Philippine national anthem, respectively. 
 
An opening remarks from a criminology intern, Serena A. Asaral, set the cool atmosphere for the event, emphasizing the significance of this day for the criminology interns, recognizing the sacrifices they made in order to get to this momentous occasion.
 
Afterwards, the CLACJE Dean Ms. Nur-ain L. Sahibil MAIS officially proclaimed the four (4) third-year Forensic Science interns and fifty-nine (59) graduating Criminology students as police interns for this school year 2024-2025.
 
Fr. Eduardo M. Santoyo, OMI, PHD, the College President, followed by PLT Mr. Ardel Lorenz G. Delumpines, then gave their message to the interns, giving them a heads-up for the real world, as well as giving appreciation to the sacrifices of their parents and those who supported the interns throughout their journey.
 
The signing of the memorandum of understanding by the 1st Platoon leader of the 54th Special Action Company, PLT Mr. Ardel Lorenz G. Delumpines, and Criminology Program Coordinator, Ms. Jonalyn K. Yap, RCrim happened afterwards. 
 
Finally, the most awaited imposition of the pins and badges, executed by the Criminology Program Coordinator, Ms. Yap RCrim, the CLACJE Dean, Kah Dayang Sahibil, MAIS, and two Criminology Program instructors, Mr. Martin John B. Gonzales, RCrim, and Ms. Fatimah N. Habibon, RCrim followed. Honoring all the interns, they were accompanied by their guardians and parents.
 
After imposing of the pins and badges, a criminology intern, Yashrif H. Jamaluddin, led the police intern creed with his fellow interns, a proof to their commitment to remain true and steadfast to the principles of their chosen field. 
 
Following that, “Do I Make you Proud? ” was performed on the stage by the interns to show their dedication and gratitude, while showing the pictures of every intern with their parents and guardian on the LED screen. Then, they went down, giving flowers to their parents and guardians together with their salute as their sign of respect and gratefulness for their unwavering support, making them emotional.
 
After that moment, a parent of an intern, Mrs. Winnie Dela Cruz Tablan, Ed.D, represented the parents and guardians to deliver her response, recognizing the effort and sacrifices made by both the interns and the people who supported them.
 
Shortly after, it was followed by the words of gratitude by Dianne E. Jingon, and Abdulrafi J. Askalani, two of the SAMBISIG interns, expressing gratitude and acknowledgement to the ones who had supported and guided them throughout their journey.
 
As the Batch SAMBISIG ’25 sang their batch song, “Breakaway”, the feeling of nostalgia, relief and comradeliness filled the atmosphere.
 
Before concluding the event, Ms. Jonalyn K. Yap, RCrim, delivered her closing remarks, humoring the interns and the parents by her inspiring and fun message, and followed by the singing of the Notre Dame Hymn. 
 
Finally, the event concluded with photo opportunities and an early dinner among the attendees.
