New set of officers for the academic year 2024-2025 from different major and minor organizations, and clubs from College, and Senior High School of Notre Dame of Jolo College swore and accepted their roles and responsibilities of its respective positions during the joint induction from Office of Student Welfare and Affairs today, August 28, at NDJC Main Campus covered court.
The event commenced with a Muslim prayer led by Almashraf J. Aming, followed by a Catholic prayer led by Kyla Jo C. Banagudos before the signing of the Philippine national anthem.
Setting the tone for the proceedings, Dr. Raymond R. De Los Reyes, LPT, Vice President for Academic Affairs, emphasized, “Leadership is a journey of continuous learning and growth. It demands humility, resilience, and a profound sense of responsibility.”
The ceremony started with the induction of Faculty Club Officers and Non-teaching Personnel Officers, followed by the turnover speech by the outgoing MSG Treasurer, Al-Sharidz H. Jaafar, who handed over the key of responsibility to the new MSG President.
Afterwards, Mr. Rhazzel Allan M. Asda, the Student Affairs and Welfare Director, led the induction of the Mahardika Student Government officers, Suluhan Publication Editorial Board and Staff, Ingat Kapandayan Artist Center, and Nightingale Band Corp officers. Other organizations including College officers, and Senior High Council were also inducted.
On the other side, Mr. Thomas Francis M. Putong, the Student Activity Coordinator, inducted the departmental and program club officers from both College and Senior High School.
Subsequently, Fritzie Mae N. Barade, the newly elected MSG President for the academic year 2024-2025, delivered her acceptance speech. In her address, she expressed her gratitude and shared her vision for this academic year.
A musical interlude by the Ingat Kapandayan Artist Center, featured guitarist Mihrab J. Jundam, along with singers Layka J. Atiolla and Ernestina Que, provided lively entertainment before the inducted College and SHS Club officers.
Following this, Raihana H. Capistrano, the newly elected MSG Vice President for academic year 2024-2025, gave her closing remarks.
The ceremony then concluded with the singing of the Notre Dame Hymn, followed by photo opportunities of the officers and faculty advisers.
This captured the momentous occasion as students and faculty celebrated the new leadership and looked forward to a successful academic year ahead.
