NDJC-BMED holds 6th Pinning Ceremony
Thirty-two (32) interns from the Business Management Education Department of Notre Dame of Jolo College imposed their pins of internship on January 15, 2022 at NDJC Smith Hall.
The program officially started around 1:30 in the afternoon as hosted by Ms. Nadezkha Kendeneira J. Idjilani with the usual opening program before Ms. Elieza S. Tusit, the BMED Chairperson welcomed the administrators, department faculty and staff, invited guests and the interns with their parents and guardians.
“To make your parents proud, your loved ones proud doesn’t always mean achieving the common success that we know—that is usual. Doing things right and fulfilling one’s responsibilities, giving your best, and making our parents happy is making them proud already and that is successful”. She stressed out in her opening remarks.
Thirteen (13) interns from Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, fourteen (14) from Bachelor of Science in Management Accounting and five (5) from Bachelor of Science in Business Administration were presented and accepted by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Darren B. Datiles and the College President, Fr. Eduardo M. Santoyo, OMI, Ph.D. respectively. This was highlighted by the formal imposition of pins of each intern together with their parents and guardians led by Ms. Elieza S. Tusit, Dr. Salvador S. Zacarias, CPA, and Mr. Mark Johnyrec S. Morales.
“Continue to embrace the journey of holistic development so that in the future you too can become heroes in your particular world”. Fr. Santoyo emphasized in his inspirational message before the audience after the imposition.
“Ha mawmaas sin kami, magsarang sukul tuod kami ha hulas sangsah niyu. Kaingatan namuh in hunit sin nag-iiskul, mas mahunit in parasahan sin nagpa-iskul. [“To all our parents, we thank you for all your efforts. We know that being a student is difficult but being a parent is more difficult.”] One of the interns, Liela P. Miergas acknowledged the present parents and guardians in her words of gratitude. She and two others selected, Faujia S. Rikani and Lerna K. Hayudini also expressed their gratitude and followed the batch’s tribute presentation with white roses for their parents and guardians. Mr. Noel E. Banagudos, a parent on the other hand presented his response on behalf of the fellow parents and guardians afterwards before the song presentation of the batch’s interns.
A photo opportunity and afternoon salo-salo among the administrators, department faculty and staff members, student interns and their parents and guardians successfully concluded the half-day event.
