On December 18, 2021 at the Notre Dame of Jolo College Covered Court, the NDJC Community celebrated its annual Christmas and Year-End Party with the theme “Joyful Brights” hosted by Mr. Paul S. Banagudos and Bro. Jericho Veñarta.

The event commenced at around 9:00 AM with an opening prayer, singing of the Philippine National Anthem, and the welcoming remarks of the college president Fr. Eduardo M. Santoyo, OMI, PhD. There were various contests such as song, dance and short film presentation, Mr. and Ms. Star of the Year, Christmas decoration contest, etc. wherein the participants had the chance to win prizes.

Afterwards, the Christmas bonus showcase and raffle draw followed which was facilitated by the administration sector and the Finance Office. Minor and major prizes including a flat screen TV, MacBook Air, and a brand new motorcycle were won by the lucky employees of the said institution.

The gift giving and awarding ceremony was held in the afternoon. The Finance Office bagged the award for best Christmas decoration while the SHS Department successfully guarded its 3 consecutive years of being the Over-all Team Champion. Meanwhile, cash prizes were given to the winners of the Mr. and Ms. Star of the Year which were awarded to Mr. Andrew Peñafiel and Ms. Maria Antonette Arellano-Quiñones, respectively.

“All of you are the captains of this ship. Without you, our ship would have no direction and the ship would be stranded on the shore. But with you, we are going to a direction where we will all benefit regardless of how difficult it could be. Together, we can reach our destination which is to be great and to make NDJC relevant and this institution’s quality and excellence” as stressed by Bro. Angelo Roberto T. Diana, OMI, MBA, Vice President for Administration, in his Christmas message.
